Born-Free Five

The date has been set for Saturday June 29 th 2013..same location Oak Canyon Ranch in Silverado California. We do not want to Born-Free everyone to death so we really won't start promoting the show for a few more months. There are a lot of great events coming up ... Brooklyn Invitational,Two Wheels Brazil & The MoonEyes show in Yokohama..so get out and support these events too. We have tried to work out all the logistics and finance's of a two day show and we just can not do it without changing the entire dynamic of the show. We hope you can understand how difficult it is to put on a free show of the size. What we would like to encourage is... someone to plan some events around the show.We understand and appreciate the thousands that attend the show and know many of you are traveling great distances to be here with us so we want you to have plenty of things to do before and after the show. A pre party, BBQ, a ride, after party, camp out, a bon fire at the beach....it's up to you. If you get something organised we will be happy to help you promote it. We are looking for TOP SPONSORS so if you are interested please email me mike@bornfreeshow.com

The Michael Lichter Stugis Exibit

We have been getting stories and pictures back from Michael Lichter's exhibit at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis and it looks like it was a good one! The exhibit was based around Michael's experience at Born-Free last year which seems to have given him new hope in the next generation of motorcycle builders. CLICK HERE for the review of the show on the Cyril Huze Blog.
thanks to all that made it out there and thanks again to Michael for putting it on!

Brandon Casquillo ( BF 4 Builder )

Brandon is well known for making very high quality parts and top notch fabrication skills and his BF4 Shovel build showed both and a lot more. The bike was huge crowd favorite ( definitely one of mine). Mr. Chris Kallas ( MC ART) awarded Brandon with the Best Shovelhead trophy. The bike was just bad ass !! You really need to see this bike in person to understand how good it really is...Excellent work Brandon.

Sturgis

If you are out roaming the Black Hills this week, stop by the Michael Lichter exhibit at the Buffalo Chip. His show this year was inspired by his trip to Born-Free 3 and features many of the artists and builders that have been a part of Born-Free over the last four years. Stop by and check out the 8000 sq/ft of motorcycles and art.

BF 4 Builder Post

I am going to try and do a follow up post on all the builders of BF4. Steve Buchanan is the first:: Steve's 57 Panhead ( Green) was one of the first bikes I saw that really made me want to get a chopper. It's hard to believe he wanted to re do such a cool bike but he did.He took it apart about 4 or 5 years ago and re made the entire bike. He told me at BF 3 that the show motivated him and he would get it done for BF 4 if we did it again....we did and he delivered! The bike is incredible,it's loaded with killer parts and high quality work. The paint was actually done about 4 years ago by John Edwards and really made the bike stand out !! ...Great work Steve..thank you for being apart of the show.
